What does your turbo sound like?

I am not talking about the whine we all love.

My first PSD had a turbo that did a weird harmonic thing at about 55-60.

My second PSD only had the whine.

My CTD has the whine but I am thinking it also has a harmonic too.

Anyone else ??

Thanks, as this is to isolate a drivetrain noise.

Jimmy

Don't now if this helps, because I don't have the stock turbo but mine sounds like a jet engine taking off.

If I read it right, I hear a harmonic on the turbo just over 33psi.. It tends to go away once up against the wastegate at 35-36... The pitch of the turbo definitely changes over the 33 mark.. If you have a modified turbo, like a PDR 35 the pitch changes to a higher Psi mark. It must be due to the mapping of the compressor wheel.

my old HX40 had a harmonic in the 15-20psi range that was LOUD!!!!

I'm hoping the sps66 will be a serious whistle pig!
