Are those glassworks fenders? Or just flares? Whatever they are they look good

Overflow replaced this last summer just for periodic maintenance. Will double check overflow with the squeeze return line trick tomorrow and go from there I guess.

If you are using an isolator it's most likely the problem.
Your gauge isn't reading right.
Swap the isolator for a coupling.

It is direct. Needle valve at banjo bolt then straight to gauge.
