Waste Gate QQ

Instead of completely blocking the wastegate line has anyone tried just restricting it? That way it will still open but will be delayed.
A. Does this make sense?
2. Would it make a difference?

Just thinking out loud.

it is called a adjustable boost elbow. you were not the first one to think of that, sorry.

You also need a boost fooler to keep your truck from de-fueling

Not if its mechanical pumped. 98.5 and up 24V require that step also.

There are also adjustable mechanical (read spring) wastegate actuators around, I think its called Turbomaster and its fully adjustable to any pressure you wish..

The boost elbows you get with plates or other upgrades do what you're describing. There is a small bleed orifice drilled in and then an adjustable pinch valve. The balance between the bleed orifice and pinch point delays the opening of the wastegate.

Mine came from TST/PDR set to 35 psi..
