wait to start light/intake heater

(95 3/4 ton dodge cumins) My wait to start light gos out the same time as the rest of the idiot lights, and my intake heater isn't cycling, therefore it's hard starting, all when it's stone cold. I ohmed the pins on the intake temp sensor, and the were in limits (13.4k) There is no cycling volts at the heater either.Any one heard of comon issues with these, relays and such. I searched other posts and didn't see many conclusions to any of them. Thanks

Most common cause for no grids that I've ran into is the small trigger wires falling off the heater relays. Squeeze a little with a pair of pliers to make them fit tighter.
They are located to the rear and down from the driver's side battery.
Also check for corrosion on the wire that feeds the relays.
If the relays themselves are shot don't buy from the dealer, a $10 Ford starter relay from any autoparts works great.

Check out this thread. I had the same problem in my rig and it turned out to be the relays. There are also some other parts such as the fusible links coming off the d.s. battery, that can go bad.

Thanks.I didn't know there were fusable links in the system, I bet it was them because today leaving work th heaters worked normally. I will keep an eye on them though. Again Thanks
