If I run no lubricity additives my pump is veerryy noisy Noisier than most I've heard especially noisy for the first 20 min or so then quiets down a little but still pretty loud. Is that an indication of a dying pump? Use Lucas Cold Weather Fuel Treatment #10021 quiet as a sleeping baby.

Typical in extreme cold weather, pump is lubed by engine oil noisy until engine oil temp comes up and fuel heater gets warmed up.

 

cold mornings and with no additive the pump will be noisey,fuel these days don't lube like they use to,thats why it is quieter with additive,i run additive all the time the engine is much quieter and runs better...
