Replacing valve spring during my head gasket repair. Bought a set from Rock Auto and they are 2.2" free length. Does anyone know the factory spec on spring length? One reference I have shows 2.34" free length. I don't want to use the wrong spring. I have checked several suppliers and all have the same part number with a spring length of 2.2"

FSM shows approx 60 MM free ht. ( 2.36" ) with a max inclination of 1 MM ( .039 )

I would worry more about the minimum pressure at checking Ht.

Thanks for the information. I am going to go ahead and use the new springs. The others are original and 20 years old with 223,000 miles on them.
