when your ajusting your valves as directed by fritz dodge ram site do ajust the valves just like the diagram shows 123456 or do you adjust them acording to the data plate.

u sure u need to adjust them?...before u adjust anything just slide the feeler gauge in there and they might all be right on...# 5 and 6 arent fun thats right u basically have to sit on the engine to do it comfortably
I've found that the owners manual adjustment intervals to be way off, most trucks don't need adjustment as often as they say, it should be more like 24k, 48k, 100k and every 100k thereafter.
When I went to adjust mine last time at 200k after 100k of no adjustment I got to the third cylinder before realizing I was wasting my time.
The first two adjustments are the important ones, after that they stay pretty good.
Of course if you don't know the truck's service history by all means adjust the valves.
