v-bandclamp leaking
v-bandclamp leaking
i installed a bigger housing and now its leaking at the v bandclamp. not that big of a deal right!!! well now it covered my whole filter in soot wick caused the filter to collaps. how do i get this thing to seal i checked it and its tight, the new filter should be here in a couple days and i don't want it to happen again these filters aren't cheap
If you get a new v band clamp its not 3 inches. If thats what you used when you changed the housing thats the problem. Cummins used 2.82 inches or something like that. You can get them from a cummins dealer, Im not sure about dodge, probably have to order it.
was it a new one?
I know after having my HX40 clamp on and off a few times, it was bottomed out before I was happy w/ the torque on the nut... put a new clamp on there, and it was evident how much the old clamp had stretched!
