V-10 trans-cummins???
Ya I'm sure and its probably a 47rh I own a 94 v10 when it got rebuilt the Guy said its a diesel trans so ya but u need the pcm for the tranny if u get it which its on the firewall on the passenger side of the truck oh and you'll need the spacer off the back of the engine and the starter as well the one on your first Gen wont work so u need both starter and spacer of the engine but should work
You will need to change the governor in the transmission and the converter.to tell what transmission look at the plug in on top of the tranny just in back of the shifter if it has 3 wires going in to the tranny its the one you want. more than 3 and its 47re Ken
the trans will bolt up to the engine no problem, the 95 should have the 47rh but you will need a cummins flywheel, the converter may work ok, but should also be from the cummins, and a cummins valve body will be nessasary to get the correct shift points, you dont need a controller to operate it, but there is a converter lockup and overdrive that is electrical, you can operate them manually if you want and there are stand alone controller avalable

yes there is a bolt on adapter on the back of the cummins, used for auto's and 5spd manuals, 6 spd is different, and no adapter at all on the v-10
The mechanical governor of the gasser A518 will not work in a diesel application as it allows shift-points that are way too high for the diesel. You will have to change the governor assembly (not just the weights).
I asked my tranny guy this very question the other day, for my Dad's 95. He said yes, it fits fine, but you must use the diesel TC and while you don't HAVE to, you should use the diesel valve body because the shift points are different because of the different RPM where the torque peak occurs. Everything else is the same.
