Turbo Whistle

Have a Turbo Whistle and can't find any thing to quite it down,
made my first pull with car trailer, 300 mile I don't here it when
running at 65 mph, but when starting out it sounds like the cops
are after me, and there is a spot at 35 mph it will drive you mad.

any one know how to quite it down a bit.

Someone here should be ale to send you a silencer ring. Most of us have removed ours.

I have already given mine away.

Smokee, my silencer ring is still in there.

I think you have a boost or an exhaust manifold leak. They can be very loud and obnoxious. Check all your boost pipes and connections and look the exhaust manifold over very carefully.

Especially check all the rubber boots on your intercooler lines. I had the same problem and that fixed it.

You have a boost leak. That is the same sound that the big trucks I drove sounded with a leak. Read this post: https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...threadid=41858
