tuning ? mid rpm white smoke? 1800 no load

Been tuning the afc, since I had my injectors redone. Apparently they are delivering more fuel. After the injector rebuild, mpg went down.....way down. So I turned the star wheel all the way out to tighten the spring and delay fueling....and turned the smoke screw all the way out to start over. It was way down on power to start...so I started turning the start screw in...(loosing the spring and bringing fuel in sooner)...IT came alive...the more it was loosened, and then I turned the smoke screw in about 1 1/2 turns. It lights ok, under moderate acceleration doesnt smoke too much....but under light throttle it white smokes at 1800 in first...and 2000 rpm in other gears....and if I fuel enough it just changes from white to dark...or haze if I do it just right.

What should I change to change the 2000 rpm light load white smoke? If I short shift it, no smoke...if I load it slightly....no smoke....but just driving easy...it white smokes....and doesnt burn any oil.....No white smoke on start up, or from idle to 1800.....

If your mileage dropped after you R&R'd your injectors, then those are the most likely culprit of why your mileage dropped. Tuning the AFC will help, but its a bandaid solution to your issue. What did they set the pop pressures to?

I dont know....they are ddp injectors. They swore my originals were worn out...(scaring) and that they were put back to the original set up.

Anyways, tonight I loosened up the star wheel some more, and backed off the smoke screw about 1/2 a turn. Pretty easy to drive now with limited smoke. The white smoke is mostly gone. Seems to (fingers crossed) that Ive got my mpg back, now that the smoke screw is in a different position. I put some miles on...but no numbers yet. Tomorrow is a 300 mile trip pulling 10k.....so Ill get numbers.
