Truck over charge,18volts need parts,gauges
 

I was driving my truck look up and my volt meter was 18 volts before I could get off the highway , to late, dash went up in smoke took out my speedometer, which is elec, plus my a/c switchs, plus idoit panel board.

Truck is a 1991 I was told 90 to 93 will work,
Parts I need:

Dash panel
Idiot ele board
A/C switch panel

So far thats all I have find to get home I simple unplug voltage reg.

how could that be prevented?

Thats a good questions, did not see it coming, look down, it was to late, Anybody knows of Salvage yards that have these old timers give me some name s and numbers...
