Transfer case leak

I've got a leak from the rear of the transfer case where the driveshaft to the rear diff couples with the output (shaft?) of the transfer case. It's leaving a splash of ATF fluid about 8 inches in diameter on the concrete the last two times I've driven it.

Truck is the No. 1 truck in my signature. 96 Dodge CTD, 4x4, automatic.

Is there a major repair bill coming my way? How much can I expect? What has to be done to repair it? Is it a complete overhaul of the transfer case or a seal that is replaced?
