trans woes, cps, tps or other thoughts 4 fix

did lots of searching, read up on the tps, but am wondering if the crank sensor is off. Is it adjustable?, haven't been able to find that info. Had my local indy do the outer front cover seal/ dowel pin and trans is hunting bad. Started the truck once, and no tach, but has since been working fine.

thank you infidel. will check that. I sprung for a new tps and installed it, test ride gives it a thumbs up, shifting fine. I will be checking speed sensor as the tach has always worked. Is the speed sensor something that gets removed when working on the outer cover? Maybe the pulley got some crud on it, and isn't sending the signal strong enough.

Yes, the ESS has to come off to remove the cover.
I've never heard of crud affecting the sensor but suppose it's possible.

When my speed sensor died I lost the tach and air conditioning. New one fixed everything.
