tps filter ??
tps filter ??
hi
i have a question on how to setup a TPS filter useing a electrolytic capacitor like on http://www.dodgeram.org/tech/transmi...TPS_adjust.htm where do i put the capacitor?
does the + side of the cap go to the purple/white stripe 5v power wire and the - side of the cap go to the black ground wire
or does the + side of the cap go to the purple/white stripe 5v power wire and the - side or the cap go to the orange/dark blue stripe signal wire
thanks

It's been a while since my old circuits class, but I believe that the positive side of the capacitor should go to the purple/white +5V power wire and the negative side go to the orange/dk blue signal wire. Anyone else want to comment?
More people have had better luck removing the tps wires from their harness and putting them in their own harness rather than with the filter.
If you really want to be sure replace the wires with shielded ones.
