Hey guys what size lug nut do I need to take the injectors out? That sounds like a great and cheap way to take the injectors out.

THANKS CRIS

Just take one off the truck. But don't forget to put it back on. All above posts are right, you don't need an injector puller, just the short PVC pipe and the lug nut.

Chris:
If its any help to you. When I put in my 370s, it was my first time....... . Was not too concerned about it. Took the air compressor and blew out around each injector before I did anything. Want everything clean. Started with # 1 and worked my way towards # 6, one at a time. I did not need any pullers to get them out. Perhaps I was lucky. I do recall having to undo a couple of injection line retainers (the ones that clamp one line to another) also I had to remove a valve cover or two to get the line out of the way without having to bend the line around the cover. Did not have a camera at the time so I did not take pics. Also I put some anti-seeze on the new injector body prior to installation. If you were here I would help you.

Take all the lines off together. They come off in a bundle. Just undo them at both ends, and remove a couple bracket bolts at the intake.

THANKS GUYS

I,m going to have the valve covers off because by then I'll have my other set back from being powder coated and ready to install. I think from you and many others have said I'll take the lines completely off as not to mess them up.

THANKS AGIAN CRIS

I've been working on diesels for forty years and have never used anti-seize on the injector bodies nor ever heard it recommended. Must be a reason not to, I personally would skip it.

We put anti- seize on injector bodies not the tip or the seat so you can get them out down the road. Never have had a problem
doing this and was recommended by a number of fuel shops. I only do this on injectors that are out in the open not under valve covers ect.
