tire size change VS speedo calibration

I went from 215 75r16 to 235 75r16
The new tires are a tad taller.
the truck is a 1998 12 valve 5spd. Can Chrysler go into the computer and re-calibrate the speedo??
THANKS

Speedometer World...

I just changed my VSS gear when I went to larger tires. It is a 5 minute job and the part is only around $30. You can get them
Here

Good luck.

Yes, Chrysler can recalibrate the speedo. That tire size will probably be in their computer. They just plug it up and change it. If that size is not in their computer you need to find the exact diameter of your tire. There is a formula you can plug that diameter into and figure out how many rpm's per mile your tire turns. Then go to Chrysler and they can punch that into their diagnostic computer and recalibrate your speedo. I had mine fixed, it took about 2 minutes and they didn't charge me anything. Not sure where you can find that formula, hopefully someone on here will know it.
