Timing

I am taking my truck in to have valves adjusted and timing checked/set too. Currently its basicly stock 94 with #5 plate used to be auto (160hp) now 5-sp. What should timing be set at for good performance? Thanks, Sonny

16.5 works good on your '94 but depending on where you take they may only set it at factory specs. Anything other than factory is against air pollution laws.

Thanks everyone for replies! Is the stock setting 12.5. I think I saw that number on a decal on the cover?
