timing
timing
I am new to this diesel stuff. I have a 95 CTD with a 100hp plate K&N, staight pipe, and gauges all done by myself.. What should the timing be set to and how do I do it?.What kind of increases can I expect?. I am into muscle cars and can do most projects just need info on what to do. Thanks
Good instructions here-

You're probably going to need at least $150 worth of tools you don't have. Sometimes it's cheaper to have someone else do it rather than invest in what is usually a one time job.
I run my '95s at 16.5° but have heard it suggested that '94 &'95s run better at 19 but with harder starting.
Highly suggest you join up with NW Bombers since you live in WA. You will receive much support and probably find someone to loan you the tools. No doubt you will make some life long friends also.
