Throttle linkage sloppy?

Hello Everyone,

Noticed that where the throttle cable attaches to the linkage on the IP has alot of left right up down wear. I did find some pics of the assembly and have deduced that the bushing(s) are more than likely toast. The centre pin that holds it al together is not budging to remove. Has anyone had any experience on this linkage that they might share.

Seasons Greetings to all.

The parts book shows an e-clip towards the inside, you will have to remove the bracket to see it. Takes 2 bushings BTW.

You might be able to get the parts/labor for free on recall.
Check with your VIN here> http://www.dodge.com/webselfservice/...ilForm(%27R%27)

Thanks the recall was done but I am sure they will say wear and tear so on my coin. I cannot pay the stealerships labor rates and do almost all my own maintenance. Good to have this forum for sure.

Legally recalls are supposed to work for the life of the vehicle.
Think about it, if the recall fails you're back to the same safety problem as before the recall.
Some dealers are cool about it, others will fight you.

On another forum the dealer told a fellow he was out of luck on a worn out throttle cable recall ten years after it was done.
He called Chrysler corporate about it and within a day the dealer was calling to set up an appointment to redo the recall.

Don't know why they would want to fight it, I always thought the dealer was reimbursed by corporate for doing recalls.

Thanks again infidel, I may drive by the local here to see what they may be willing to do. Can't hurt to try I guess.:)
