throttle linkage ball/socket problem

Guys, my daughter's '95 went to idle the other day, no throttle response. The ball/socket joint on the throttle link rod came loose. The ball stud come off the pump arm(for lack of a better term). I need the ball side of the joint with a threaded stud (opposite side of the ball part pulled loose from the pump arm(?)

Go here, put the VIN in and it will give you recall data on your truck.

I have since seen a breakout, I think it was on Geno's website. It shows that the part that the ball stud pulled out of was the throttle lever. What I'm wondering is if anyone has found something, or knows of a parts resource, that may have a ball stud that has a threaded stud on it. The one off the truck is just pressed into the hole in the throttle lever, no threads(it pulled out). Since there is already a hole in the lever, a threaded ball stud would work great. I may have to drill the hole out bigger, but I wouldn't have to take everything loose to replace the whole lever.

Why hassle with it?
If your truck isn't eligible for the recall the recall parts are availible from the dealer for about $30

If the recall parts are not what I need, why would I want them? Maybe I'm not following you...

The '96 recall parts list is here http://dodgeram.info/tsb/recalls/970.htm
If the recall hasn't been done do it, it's free

The '97-'98 recall is about the same parts are pictured though

Ok, I might have made a wrong assumption concerning the part. Do you guys remember if the ball stud on the pump lever has a stud/nut holding it on? The small portion of stud that still remained on the ball(still held by the throttle rod end socket) appeared to be smooth, no threads. I am wondering if the stud broke and the portion left was just a smooth section of the threaded stud? I assumed it was a pressed/rivot-type of connection for the ball stud to the pump lever.

Think I know what you're talking about.
One rivet type stud has to be ground and punched out to remove.
The recall replacement part is threaded with a nut.

Outstanding. That's what I'm needing. Thanks for your input.
