TCI T/C's any good?
i've never experienced one in a diesel, i'm the only one i know with an automatic dodge. But i do own a GM car performance shop, and TCI or B&M are by far the worst out there. there's a reason they're so cheap. Then again, i've seen a couple expensive brands not work to well either. I personally have a goerend in my truck and i love it.
yea, I want a goerend setup.
It's a long drive for me to get there, I don't like the trans shops in my area, and I'm broke or else I'd already have it done.
I heard the tripple disc T/C tears up the stock trans.
and to get a single disc one instead?
sound reasonable or no?

yup, i have the triple disk billet front converter. i've got about 30-40k miles on it since rebuild and install of the t/c and v/b. i believe the stock hard parts in the trans may have up to 260k miles on them now, and they're not showing any signs of slowing down. It was recommended to change the input shaft out just b/c of the mileage, but like you, no extra cash to do so. I've sled pulled, drag raced, and then just beat it on the street and haul quite a few cars on a trailer. The fluid is still bright red.
