Sump pump?

I currently have the bed off of my truck and I'm trying to avoid ever having to drop my fuel tank. Will a sump pump help me do that? Just wondering what I can do before I put a flatbed on my truck to avoid any future headaches of dropping the fuel tank

Cutting a big hole in the BOTTOM of my 35 gallon fuel tanks sounds unreliable to me....That has always made me not use a clamp on under the tank sump pick up.

I would not worry about it with a flat bed on your are likely to be able to access the fuel sending unit pretty well.
If not cut an access panel in the flat bed that flips up.
