Praise The Lord!

Got off work today and took relay to service tech and he bench-tested it for continuity. He said it was fine but might not work when juice was put to it. As I couldn't locate the fusible link in said blue wire, the relay was the next least expensive part to check.
Returned to truck and stuck relay back in. Just for the heck of it, turned key a couple times and fooled with some stuff. Pulled up on solenoid plunger while key was in start position. (Wasn't it supposed to be up already with key on?). When I pulled up on it, it stayed in place. Scratched head and turned key.... Fired right up with a MIGHTY roar.
THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS GIVEN ME ADVICE! You are all true friends. Much more helpful than my friends here local who all said "Trade that somebeach in on a gas powered chevrolet, son!" Will contact you, Hyper, soon about new solenoid. Might be a short while as this has been a rough week (see first post - "no truck=no$") GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

No, it doesn't pull up until the key is in the start position (engine cranking)
