Strange Clutch Sound

My 98 makes a clicking sound when I push in the clutch pedal.I sprayed lube up under the dash on the pedal pivots, but it still persists every fourth or fifth time I press the pedal. Is this just a nuisance noise or is something heading south in my slave cylinder?

clicking from where? if its from under the dash it's the master cylinder. Hard to guess without hearing what kind of clicking it is, or how much it is.

Yes its from under the dash. I thought it might be something plastic, but who knows?Clutch pedal action is fine just this annoying cick intermitantly. There aint much room to stick your melon under there

Mine has had that since 4ever. Never really looked for it since I can only hear it when at idle.

Could it be the interlock switch that's on the clutch pedal?
