So I just bought another cummins, a 1995 2500 clubcab 2wd. I want to swap in a D70 from a first gen truck with 3.07 gears in it for mileage (the truck has 4.10's now - what a joke!) Anyway, are the widths (from WMS to WMS) the same on first gen D70s and second gen D70s? I know I'll have to cut off some spring perches and weld them on and possibly shock mounts - not a big deal. I just don't really want to do with this if I'm going to have to use different offset wheels to make my truck look normal. From what I've read around here and on different forums, 25MPG should be attainable . Thanks!
