Put a number 10 fuel plate in and at the top end I get trans shutter. Would this be the Converter or O.D. I have pulled apart COUNTLESS 727s and have been told they are almost exact? They certainly resemble the old school and if this is the case just rebuild it myself *add some extra clutches in their* and a good shift kit/pressure bump ect.. Any GOOD shift kit experiences here?? 96 Reg cab auto,#10 plate,3"exhaust. Any help be much appreciated.

The shudder is the converter. The coverter is just barely marginal for holding the power of a stock engine. Once you go over stock you get the shudder. Then what can happen is the lining of the TQ disintegrates and plugs up the passages in the tranny and then good-bye tranny. All the HP rebuilders have different ways of going about the process. They do agree that there are a lot of internal leaks that need to be addressed. There are a few guys on here who have rebuilt their own trannies. Try calling Dave Goerend ( www.gbtransmissions.com ) since he will ship you parts or even a whole tranny.

Thats what I thought thanks for the info. Ill check him out. If Im going to pull the trans so I might as well freshin it up.
