Shock recommendations

I have a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500HD w/Cummins TD and need some replacement shocks. I am looking for a smooth ride as I do not tow anymore. I installed a new set of KYB Excel-G shocks in July and they are WAY too soft. After I go over a speed bump the truck bounces several times. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

I only have experience with the Bilsteins, but I REALLY like them.

About 60-65 bucks each on fleabay.

Most of the problem on these trucks isnt the shocks its the springs. Theyre way too stiff for the weight of an empty truck.

For my use, all I replaced the worn stockers with Monroe Reflex. The ride is pretty presentable. They've been holding up quite well over the last 4+ years or so.

Yeah, Gabriel ltv. Full hydraulics. Got sick to death of the gas shocks blowing seals in cold weather.
