I put my Getrag in the scrap metal dumpster to assure it would disappear from the face of the earth forever.
Fine transmission, just don't use overdrive when loaded. The riding lawn mower sized countershaft and bearings can't take the torque of even a stock 1st gen Cummins.
Advanced Adapters makes an adapter kit for a NV4500 transmission, for $1250.00 you could upgrade to a more reliable transmission. Sell your old Getrag $#i! parts on eBay and cost wise it should workout be a wash.
I've purchased several NV4500's off eBay paying no more than $800.00 for any one of them.
Matter of fact just recently bought a brand new never installed perfect NV4500 off of Craigslist for $800.00, didn't have a speck of rust on it, absolutely 100% mint perfect.
Getrag 360's can't do overdrive.
