12 valve no power

hey. Guys so I 0 cut my fuel plate and I’ve heard from lots of people that it has lots of power after you do that but mine is super gutless and I’m trying to figure out why I’ve tried playing around with my power screw and my star wheel but is it possible that if you cut the fuel plate wrong it will make it super gutless?

If you mount the plate wrong .... you will have the super gutless result.

Go back there and check the position of the plate.

First things first, was it low on power before?

What fuel pressure do you have at the pump?

Plate too far back.
Plate turned around.
Governor arm jammed up .

There are a lot of possibilities.
But, to me your problems do not sound like plate problems.

Either your transmission is misadjusted, or you have fuel delivery problems, low boost problems, governor problems....

There is a lot going on in there that needs to be properly diagnosed before jumping in and adjusting this or that.
Get gauges first!
Prepare your transmission for the hopped up engine.

And you need a solid 25-27 PSI at idle and 32 or so at speed, otherwise your power will be low.......

How long have you had this truck? When was the fuel filter last changed? A clogged fuel filter will result in low boost and poor power.
