Put a new steering gear box on, now is there a way to center the steering wheel?

Put a new steering gear box on, now is there a way to center the steering wheel?

I put a new steering gear box on my truck and now the steering wheel is not centered. I noticed
on the linkage coming from the pitman arm down to the right side tie rod that there is an adjustment. Can I adjust this to get the steering wheel back to center or will it change something else?

Thanks,
Bobg

Yes, that adjustment is there just to center the steering wheel.

Just make sure the tires are facing dead on forward, then adjust that to move the steering wheel.

Have the key in the run position also, or it binds up the steering wheel lock.

BTW - how long did it take you to get the old box off? I gotta yank mine later tonight, wondering how long it took, and if you were able to pull it all from the front without pulling crap out of the engine bay to work.

thanks
