places to get timing adjusted

well i appreciate the responses i got from u guys about my truck making a popping noise, ive been off the computer for a while to spend time with my dad who passed away thursday, he left me the truck which started out as a company truck in 94 and hes just been letting me add things to it since, ill never forget the day i put the torque converter lock-up switch in and took him for a ride and slammed him in the seat when it was shifting his eyes got real big and he was speach less. Anyways I need help with one more thing, i need to know were i can get the timing adjusted on the injection pump so i can get rid of this popping noise, i live in western kentucky and if anybody knows of a place i can get this done id appreciate the help

I do not know of anyplace as I am not from Kentucky, but would like to say welcome to the board and to give my condolences to you and your family and my prayers for your father. It is a tough situation, been there. But it gets easier with time. Pretty cool Dad that gives his son a truck and lets him start bombing it. As you see our trucks are the same, if you would like to secure that dowel pin if it has not already been done let me know and I will email you the instructions I used for mine and several others have used to great success,it is a easy repair that needs to be done as my 94 was close to coming out. And be careful with that tranny switch as it is rough on the tranny if used incorrectly but hey we all need a better tranny anyway.Goodluck and again my prayers are with you and your family. Rick

No effect on throttle just lets you take the motot higher in the rpms which helps gear selecting when pulling and also increases the speed at top end, they are nice as it has reallly helped mine when it comes to pulling loads. Goodluck,,RIck I sent you a pm with my email address for the kdp info as I need your email address.
