P7100 supply line
 

I have now cracked my fuel supply line to my injection pump for the second time (first time was on my honeymoon, oops). I have checked all of the bolts on the pump and filter housing and all seem tight. I see the new line from Dodge is no longer a solid steel piece, it has a flexible joint in the middle. My question is has anyone else experienced these problems? Is there a cheaper (and better) way to fix it than spending almost $200 at a Dodge dealer? Thanks for the help!

Find a Cummins store. I cracked that line about a year ago. It only cost around $40. The flexible section in the line is nice if you ever play with the fuel plate. The line should have a cummins tag on it. If not do a search of my name in the help section as I posted it before. Dont overtorque the banjo bolts. This puts stress on the brazed part of the line.

I lost 25gallons of fuel on I93 thanks to that line.. Apparently it was a known troublemaker since it was redesigned with that flexible section.
Ive only got 1000mi on the new one so no idea if it solves the problem.

wont it work to braze it together??

We bought a 98 dually last week, and on the way home that line cracked too, they fixed it & done!

If anyone has a used line with at least 2" of line sticking out from the injection pump banjo, Id love to buy it from you. I bought this nice new 56$ fuel line from cummins, only to find out for this veggie oil conversion I need to cut the pipe in front of the IP. :(
I remember there being some talk about banjo-barb connectors out there somewhere. That could be useful

I'd go with a flexible line from Cummins...should be waaaayyy less than $250, and I've been running one for about 65K miles (not even the right one, but I bent it so it would fit;)) No problems with mine!
