These pumps are used on many applications and the core can be rebuilt for any one of them. Some applications have the oil feed on the other side of the pump.
It appears it was rebuilt by Cummins, or was it rebuilt again by whomever you got it from?
If Cummins did it, you could give them the numbers and they should be able to tell you how/when if was rebuilt.
I would bet that there are threads under the plug.
If you got it from someone other than cummins, I would call them and explain the situation, ask them to verify that you can remove the plug or exchange it for one with threaded ports where you need them.

This looks like a C-series pump to me, and according to the number on the pump it is for a 6CTA 300hp calibration.
Lubrication of the pump on the C-series is different from the B-series.
Also the governor will not allow it to rev. So I would not put it on a Dodge Diesel unless you went over it and adapted it to the higher revs and the different boost fueling curve of the B.
Just my 2c
