P7100 calibration
Condensr:
I had a post a while back about this. I had mine bench tested and calibrated. It will run you around $200+ depending upon shop rates. I also had some additional parts and a new boot for the fuel shut off solenoid. If you can find a shop that will turn it up for you it's worth it. You'll also know what your fuel output is at idle and maximum rack travel. It's also easier to adjust the govenor arm when it's on your bench. I took the pump off myself and reinstalled to save some money and have some fun. If you have them do it figure more $$. PM me if any questions. It not really too hard.

Paul, what problems were you trying to fix by calibrating your IP and were you successful? If no problems, did you detect any before and after differences such as more power, smoother running, better starting, better milage, etc?
Rare1:
I had done the wrong thing (based on good recommendations) to change the settings on the plunger/barrels on my own. Don't do it. So I needed to recalibrate the pump. I also wanted to have the fueling turned up. I was able to accomplish both. I wasn't too far off with my own pump adjustments (5 cc's difference highest to lowest at idle) but it does run smoother now. At idle it is running about 22 cc's of fuel and at full output it is 430 cc's (stock is about 170 cc's). My fuel mileage didn't change at all. That's the beauty of these pumps, if you don't get into it heavy you won't waste alot of fuel. I also got a great lesson about the pump. I was lucky as the tech let me come back, watch and ask a lot of questions. In the end, well worth it for me.
