Oil level questions...

Do our pumps hold oil at shut down? (I heard 2 quarts and then it slowly drips back)

When should I check the level for the approx.? Morning?

Also, what is the SAFE line? 11 Quarts?

And how many quarts is it between ADD and SAFE?

I had the same questions. you need to let the engine sit for several hours at least.

I always wait till it has had time to cool off completely.

I add 11 qts, safe is I think about 2 qts down.
