I have an nv4500 that seems to be stuck in 5th gear.
I can start it with the clutch in but of course it stalls when you try to let the clutch out.
We recently swapped the entire cab and may have put significant pressure on the shifter while doing that.
Is it possible we damaged something in the tower?
Could I simply replace or re build the tower?
Any guidance would be helpful.
This is a 5.9 1997.

 

I would take boot from inside the cab, take of shifter on top of tranny, make sure its in neutral first then inspect shifter colum
