I just had my truck timed (finally) and it idles a lot smoother, but it still white smokes a lot after startup and whenever you pull away from a stop light or after sitting for 2-3 minutes. I think it was timed to factory specs, even though I wanted to go to about 16-16.5. Does it need more?

Thanks, Now I'll have to talk dad into getting it back to the shop!!??

 

The next time you time it make sure the shaft is clean before installing everything and put a new lock washer on it.....there just a few dollars. I will usually only reuse them once depending on how they look.
