automatic- here comes a VB

I have had my truck since January, put in the 3GSK, 10 plate etc and all the maintAinance drivetrain stuff.

I did not want to spend the bling on a VB but the way this thing shifts around town stop and go just drives me nuts.
Soft shifts so you can't even feel them until OD lockup. Hangs around in a gear forever at light throttle. Totally a drag to drive(all the manual guys are saying "told ya so").

Goerend's will credit the VB cost toward a new trans if I ever go that route so I'll be giving Dave a call soon.

My auto on my PSD was terrible too until I put an aftermarket VB in it. Changed that unit from a total bummer to a nice crisp shifter. Hope it will be the fix for this Dodge too.

I went back and forth between a VB and shift kit for weeks. Finally decided to do the shift kit. Since my truck has 95k+ on it now, I can't afford a complete O/H yet, and I'm concerned about any pieces from slippage contaminating a new VB. I wanted the Superior kit, but it was out of stock so my trans guy ended up with the best Transgo kit for the same money. I'll be installing it when warm weather returns. I'm hoping to O/H and upgrade the trans and TC within the year.
