I decided to upgrade my auto after a conversation with a buddy who has transports for a living and had e few 5 speeds come apart , he recommended upgrading the trans and I went with a new Goerend TC and valve body , just installed # 4 plate and 3000 GSK . If anybody wants it I have a new , never used Transgo SKTFOD-Diesel shift kit , all parts still unopened , I paid 106 , will sell for 75 free shipping lower 48

 

I bet you will love it. I only got the converter and couldn't believe the difference it made. I always wonder how much of a difference a valve body would make???

The TC was 1295 unlimited TQ lifetime warranty and the VB was 550 . I hate when people hold back numbers like it was some big secret !! I still have not received them yet and getting restless

I installed Goerend valve Body and triple disc TC , the VB makes the under engineered stock trans shift precise @ and @ the correct rpm unlike stock . The TC is a 9 blade turbine section and it made a world of difference over the stock hunk of **** TC . I'm having a 10 blade triple disc built right now for a little R & D for Goerend and expect it to be the perfect fit . Why ? Because lets face it the 12 V cummins makes a ton of grunt down low and even though I have # 4 plate , 3000 GSK , 4 inch EX , ram air and TC lock switch I still don't like to go over 2200 , that said I still desire a slightly tighter TC and that's where I'm @ right now .
