Just got a 1992 12 valve put a battery in it lights right off but it high revs and pops bad. Also while it’s running the throttle does nothing. Checked the fuel line running from the tank to the lift pump it’s dry also checked the filter it’s tight and dry. Need some help

 

You say it lights off. You mean it starts and engine runs correct ? You then say while it is running the throttle does nothing. Throttle ain't gonna do nothing till you push the go peddle. Now if go peddle does not work it probably has no cable hooked to the Injector pump or for that matter maybe not to the accelerator peddle. That motor is a mechanical injector pump it is not electronic. You gonna have to fill filter housing with fuel should be a primer bulb down by your lift pump. loosen your filter a little and pump it till fluid comes out around the filter housing. Then crack your injectors just a little and crank it over till you start having fuel come out the fuel lines to each injector. Fill in your signature of what year truck and etc. Might get more response.
