Need help with electrical problem

I am glad you have the starting problem fixed.

Start your engine and test for voltage on the B+ lead of the alternator. This is the termimal with the large thick cable attached. If the alternator is charging you should read 13-15 volts. If you have voltage check the alternator line fuse in the PDC.

If it is not charging have it checked at an auto parts shop or auto electric shop. The PCM controls the charging.

Not sure on the tach problem. I will check to see if I have a schematic.

Well, I finally found the problem! The connection where the ESS plugs in was loosing connection. I tightened the female side with a pair of needlenose pliers, and everything started working! Needless to say, I am happy now. If anybody out there has problems with their ESS, be sure to check this connection. And I want to thank everybody that responded to this thread. This is a great place to come to for help.........

Happy to see you got it fixed. I have been having the same problem but, it has been intermittent. Started analyzing it today and found my problem was the same connector you refered to. So x2 on checking that connector.
