Muffler Questions

Hey guys, I'm a newbie here. I'm a Ford guy through and through, but I am about to get my first CTD a 92 250. The question I have is that I live in Ohio and in my county we have the B.S. E-Check . The truck I'm getting has a straight pipe on it, and I dont think the truck will pass w/out a muffler. What I'm wondering is, can I just get a cheap muffler from Summit Racing and throw on there to get E-Checked and then take it back off or should I just get a stock one? Anyone that lives in a county in Ohio w/E-check your advice would be wonderful, along w/anyone else who wants to give their .02. Thanks

Hmm thats pretty sweet, but I dont want to fork over 120 bucks ya know. I'd rather spend 20 bucks at Summit and have to hook the muffler up, and then take it back off if I pass.

You can get a real straight through muffler for around $40. Takes a little snarl out so you may like it.
Check out Walker brand at your local parts store.
