1st gen oil leaks, how to fix them?
I have oil leaks. All of them as far as I can tell. So I want to replace all the gaskets and main seals front & rear. Would it be easier to pull the motor to do this or do it in chasis? At a quick glance, I want to just pull the motor so need someone to stop me if that's too much extra work.

Sorry if this has been asked, I tried searching and came up with nothing

IME, the trans (5spd) has to come off first unless you lift the cab... So at that point you have access to the rear main seal.
I would probably try and decide if the oil pan needs to be re-sealed. I wouldn't want to try that one in-frame.

Replacing the oil pan gasket in the truck is not fun or very safe.
My vote is for pulling it too.
