I think were not really that concenerd with tire wear and allightment problems. More of non-servicable wheel bearings that coast $800+ in parts only to replace. Loss of mpg w/o manual hubs. Pain in the butt coil springs that are costly and crappy.

AMEN CAPTAIN!

P Kennedy, do you recall which ones were hybrids? I would assume that the duallies/diesels would have the heavier Dana 60 but assuming doesn't usually get people very far.

The "big stupid bars" are much better, and ride alot nicer than leafs. Also, for those who liek to lift their trucks, have fun trying to make sure you keep the drag link & tie-rod parallel, while keeping a reasonable pitman arm drop. Also, many leaf spring vehicles have their own version of a trac bar, mostly because of the steering issues. Leaf springs may be simpler, but certainly not "better" all around.

Oh yeah, could ya trim the sig a little?

I have talked with 2 poeple who have done this swap on their truck and the fuel economy increase was barely enough to notice. I was surprised at this myself, but this info came from two different sources who do not know eachother.

But the benefit of being able to put a power Lok back in the front is something i would like to have on my 02 again.

Would it be better to send the existing frontend into Dynatra and have them weld different knuckles on? Especially in the case of my 02 or what are the late model options?
