Lift Pump Studs

What size studs do I buy for a lift pump so I can use studs and not try to bolt it down with bolts?

Here's what I found googling:

M8 x 1.25 x 55mm automotive studs with nylon locking nuts (13mm) and lock washers

Also, does anyone know if NAPA sells a quality rebuilt lift pump for the 12V? I understand all 12V lift pumps are now from China, but I've bought lots of rebuilt parts from NAPA over many years and always get a good part. I'd rather get NAPA rebuilt than China new.

Not much chance of a rebuilt LP, it is far cheaper to make them new.

I would probably buy a genuine Cummins, even if it is made in China, at least you know it is to Cummins specs.

I just checked, here NAPA's price is 149, even Larry B beats that with his kit.

Thanks for posting the stud size, I couldn't find it anywhere with search function, though I swear Infidel put it out there a long time ago.

Thanks Pat. I remember when Infidel posted the info but I couldn't find it either.

I checked ebay. New ChiCom lift pumps are all over ebay for $25 and free shipping.

I talked to Larry B. His are also ChiCom, but apparently from a trusted source.

Yea, I am not thinking I like the odds on the 25 dollar Fleabay specials...

And I wouldn't bet that Cummins aren't also sourced from China, they can make good stuff if they are forced to.

Yes, you'd have to really enjoy changing those $25 ones out--they probably last about a week longer than whatever warranty they have.

The Fleetguard ones are indeed made in China--at least the one's I've seen are.

Why would you use lock washers and a nylon lock nut? I quit using lock washers about 15 years ago. To often lock washers crack especially as they age, after they have cracked they like to quit their job and disappear. Then you have a really loose nut and depending where it's at a potential string off other problems.
