I have a 98 12v and i was wondering what would be the best lift pump to replace my stock one with?

 

although i have heard that the 12v LP is supposed to be pretty reliable, i have personally now had at least one and i think probably another one now fail in just one year. i know a mechanic as well who told me that he has replaced 4 of them on his '95. maybe cummins changed the manufacturing or something, i don't know. anyway, i am going to try an aftermkt electric pump and see how it does.

 

ps. -if you do use something aftermkt, just make sure the flow rate and pressure are correct.

Holley makes some good pumps that some of the 24v guys have been using with success for years.

Why not replace with a stock mechanical? I would rather have the mechanical pump, but that is just my preferance.
