Just did my trans service with band adjust.

Everything worked well and there were no t40 fittings. The adjustment screws were just square or hex so I put a socket on there. It seems like after backing the nut off the adjustment screw would turn freely until the nut contacted the trans housing. That kind of makes me think that it was just the tension between the adjustment screw and the nut that was providing the inch pound I got to. I may be wrong. Next time I will put some grease between the two and work it a bunch to make sure there are not tightening on each other. Maybe thats why you only should back off 3-5 turns. I backed off the adjustment screws as directed and everything seems to perform the same as before the work. Just fyi guys.
