in a jam

when installing a #10 plate what happens if you slide it all the way to the rear of the engine my #10 didt come with a guide plate ??????

That's the least amount of fueling you'll have with the plate. Towards the tranny is weakest, towards the radiator is more.

Since you got gauges play with it. To the rad is going to probably roll some pretty good coal when you lay into it. All depends on what you want. Just watch your gauges. If you got an auto and it hasn't been prepped, I'd go easy with it. A #10 isn't as bad as a #100, but still you're turning stuff up and your tranny won't like it.

Remember to adjust the governor arm correctly any time you move the plate beyond the factory specs.
