Idle problems
Idle problems
I have slid my plate full forward and tightned up my governor springs, and adjusted my Idle to suit, but I am not satisfied. I adjusted it at operating temps with air on, in reverse, wheels at full turn, then I will drive it, and it still dies. When I turn it up more, it seems too much. When I am in neutral it seems right, but when, I come to a red light and hold the breaks, it wants to die, so I usally pop it in neutral. I think my torque conv. maynot be fully disengaging. Any thoughts? I may just have to live with more idle.
Re:Idle problems
I don't know but my friends 95 just started the same thingafter I tightend down the gov springs. I'm going to call piers when I get home from vacation. maybe you could do it and give us the answer.it only happens in autos all the standards don't do it if you set the idle at 1k rpms it will stop :- lol
